Old-Time Appalchian Music Jam
Traditional Appalachian Music Heritage Association [TAMHA] holds an old-time Appalchian music jam session every Friday evening from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Anderson Townhouse in historic downtown Blountville. Musicians and anyone who wish to attend are welcome.

Contra Dances
at the Historic Jonesborough Visitors Center. Dances are scheduled the first and third Saturdays every month with live bands. All dances are smoke and alcohol free. No partner is necessary. Families and children are welcome. Open to beginners and advanced dancers. Proud Annie Mystery Theatre
at Proud Annie Mystery Theatre in Historic Jonesborough. An audience - participation murder-solving mystery located in the restored Rhea - Mckinley House, built in 1857. Admission charge includes six - course gourmet dinner. Dinner performances begin at 6:30 pm on Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays. Prizes for best costume and for solving mystery are awarded. at Bays Mountain Park & Plantarium in Kingsport. Each Saturday Evenings during March, April, October and November. Begins at dusk.
View the night sky with many large telescopes at our observatories. See fascinating celestial objects like planets, the moon, star clusters, nebulae & galaxies.
Typically our telescopes can show you star clusters, nebulous gas clouds, colorful multiple star systems and distant galaxies. We can see features of the bright planets and our nearest neighbor, the Moon, is a remarkable sight. The instruments at Bays Mountain reveal thousands of craters, mountains and lava plains.

Sun Watch
at Bays Mountain Park & Planetarium in Kingsport. Saturday and Sunday afternoons 3 - 3:30 p.m* March through November.
Safely view the surface of the Sun through specially filtered telescopes. With our instruments it is possible to view a wide variety of eruptive disturbances on the Sun including sunspots, prominences and solar flares.
Be sure to bring warm clothes for the Nighttime Observing. Though the day may be sunny and warm, the temperature can drop after the sun goes down. Having the proper clothing will make your experience much more enjoyable.
