Available at 1 p.m. March – April on Mondays and Saturdays and 1 p.m. May – December on Mondays, Wednesdays Fridays, and Saturdays, these tours will depart from the International Storytelling Center. Guides will discuss the history of the town, its people and the lives they built. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the International Storytelling Center. For information call 423.753.9580.

Go “under the skin” to see the mysteries of the human anatomy! Examine the human body as a whole. Then, journey through each of the body’s major systems to see how they function and relate to other systems. Please check the website for holiday closings. Actual human bodies and organ specimens have been preserved so they can be viewed in a dignified, educational way, identical to their pre-preservation state.

May – October The 15th annual Teller-in-Residence program will be held at the International Storytelling Center. Tellers from across the U.S. entertain guests Tuesday through Saturday at 2 p.m. and in special evening and children’s concerts. Admission is $12 for adults and $11 for seniors, students and children under 18. Season passes are also available. Pipp Gillette as Teller-in-Residence at the International Storytelling Center

With a lifelong interest in the history of the West and its music, Pipp Gillette plays traditional cowboy music on guitar, banjo, harmonica and bones. He has performed across the U.S. and abroad, including the Smithsonian Folklife Festival, the Cowboy Poetry Gathering, and tours in England and Japan.
