Events

Festivals are our specialty. Spend a weekend at a nationally renowned gathering celebrating the peak bloom of the gorgeous rhododendron or a premier two-day event honoring the apple, complete with a pageant, live performances, talent shows, a pottery show and a cooking contest.

Other festivals include fireworks, hot-air balloons, arts, crafts and hundreds of live performances, some of which include the nation’s finest Americana, Old-Time, Celtic, Country, Bluegrass, and Gospel music. After all, this is a land where country music was born and where mountain music thrives.
