An Old-Fashioned Christmas Tour
The afternoon sun is sinking behind the hill as you meet
in an historic building or home for a cup of wassail before

Nolichucky River rapids following the mountains down from Western

but they also love to touch and explore these new worlds with

Our area truly has much to offer the
way of our heritage and culture. While we don't have time, or
space enough to list them all another great addition to the
above is Tipton-Haynes State Historic Site (Haunted) in Johnson
City. A cabin was built here and occupied by Col. John Tipton,
who is the 6th great uncle of Appalachian GhostWalks' Tour Director,
Stacey Allen McGee. This historic site is featured along with
our on-site tour entitled the "Historic Tipton-Haynes
GhostWalk".
The last stop under this package name
defines why we may have named it "Spook and Study".
In this package, we feature our ghostly tour of the campus of
East Tennessee State University (Haunted) - one of East Tennessee's
most historic campus'. Our "Haunted Historic ETSU GhostWalk",
begins at the campus' clock tower with the toll of the bell,
setting the 'tone' for our tour. For this package, we feature

Southern Appalachian history goes back
farther than some people used to think. Recent discoveries made
while excavating have revealed fossils dating to between 4.5
and 7 million years ago. An impressive and rapidly increasing
list of fossils include ancient rhinos, tapirs, turtles, alligators,
short-faced bear, weasels, red panda, rodents, and others, plus
fossilized plant remains. The Gray Fossil Site is the case with
all of our "Spook and Save" partners, will offer discounts
on admission to guests traveling Appalachian GhostWalks. Remember,

"Spook and Stars" Package
Designed for young minds reaching for a deeper understanding
both of the world we live in and those that may lie beyond,
somewhere out in the heavens. Bays Mountain Park and Planetarium
offers a wealth of educational information and exhibits on both
natural and astronomical subjects to whet the appetite of the
amateur Botanist, or Astronomer in you. Bays Mountain Park and
Planetarium is available as a daytime excursion on your haunted
vacation in combination with any of our Haunted Historic
Kingsport GhostWalks and Ghostly Bus Tours and advance
arrangements are required. While you're there, you can see a
Planetarium Show, take a Barge Ride or hike around the trails
surrounding the 44 acre crystal clear mountain lake, visit the
old Farmstead, talk to a real life Park Ranger, tour the Nature
