7th Annual East Tennessee Young Bluegrass Musician’s Contest

The Ball Sisters Band and the Rogersville Heritage Association will host the 7th annual East Tennessee Young Bluegrass Musician’s Contest on February 27 beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Hawkins Elementary School in Rogersville. Contestants 18 and younger will compete in fiddle, guitar, mandolin, banjo and vocal categories. Cash prizes and trophies will be awarded.

Shakespeare and Friends Celtic Renaissance Faire

Located in Crockett Spring Park in Rogersville. Travel back to a time when Kings and Queens ruled the land. Visit the Kings stage for performances of Celtic Music, Fire Breathing, Belly Dancing, Puppetry and Comedy. Visit the marketplace for rare and beautiful objects brought from lands near and far. Listen to music, "sweet to the ear" and feast on foods common to the time. Watch our jousters challenge each other on the tournament field. Beware the pirates for they practice much mischief and mayhem. The wee ones will be amused by puppet shows and stories of Knights and Damsels.

Hale Springs Inn

Located 16 miles from I-81. The historic Hale Springs Inn was built in 1824 and is nestled in the heart of Rogersville. Olde Bulls Gap Historic District

A self-guided walking tour of downtown Bulls Gap is offered at the Town Hall located on South Main Street, off Highway 11E. Buildings and architecture show the influence of the railroad on the lives of the citizens of Bulls Gap and the importance that it retains today. Bulls Gap is also home to the Archie Campbell Museum and Tourist Center.

Rogersville Historic District

Settled in 1786, Rogersville is home to the oldest courthouse, inn, and post office in Tennessee. It was here that the state's first newspaper was published in 1791.
