at the Tri-Cities Regional Airport, TN/VA. The most fully restored B-17 Flying Fortress SENTIMENTAL JOURNEY a World War II vintage bomber airplane will fly into Tri-Cities Regional Airport, TN/VA, offering the public an up-close and personal look at this unique piece of aviation history. The public is invited to tour this airplane–inside and out. There’s even the opportunity for some lucky individuals to actually take a flight in SENTIMENTAL JOURNEY and experience this rare aircraft first-hand. Old-Time Appalchian Music Jam

Traditional Appalachian Music Heritage Association [TAMHA] holds an old-time Appalchian music jam session every Friday evening from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Anderson Townhouse in historic downtown Blountville. Musicians and anyone who wish to attend are welcome.

Century Farm Workshop Scheduled

The Sullivan County Department of Archives and Tourism will host a Century Farm Workshop for eligible farmers in Sullivan County on March 11. The event will be held in the Sullivan County Courthouse in Blountville.

The Tennessee Century Farm Program recognizes those farms that have been owned and operated by the same family for over 100 years. The Century Farm Programt is sponsored by the TN Dept. of Agriculture and the MTSU Center for Historic Preservation www.tncenturyfarms.org.

Discover Your Ancestry Workshop

In its educational series, the Sullivan County Department of Archives and Tourism is proud to present an exciting genealogy workshop entitled, "Discover Your Ancestry"! The special event will take place on Sat., March 6, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Archives and History Center located beside the historic Sullivan County Courthouse in downtown Blountville. Please note that this workshop is one of our "brown-bag lunch series". Participants are asked to bring a brown bag lunch of their choice. Tea and soft drinks will be provided. Blountville's Halloween Trunk or Treat

"Trunk or Treat", from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office. Enjoy a safe atmosphere for the children to meet some of the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office Deputies while Trunk or Treating. Displays will be set up for all ages to enjoy! Mounted Horse Patrol, K-9, and the D.R.E.A.M. Car Auxiliary will be Fingerprinting Little Goblins! Eiggle's the clow will be doing Face Painting!
